Okay, it's technically not a secret at all. I just found out today, thanks to a web ad space, that Heroes starts up again on September 24th. I may have found out about this sooner, but as I learned my lesson last year about spoilers, I'm not searching out information on the show. I prefer the chills and shivers of the unknown and reveal.
The countdown begins.
On an unrelated note, WTF COMCAST???!?!? I'm a fan, although no fanatic, of U of M football. But can I watch the first game of the season (although not a big game at all... that's not the point)??? NO!!!! All thanks to the Big Ten Network, which is only picked up by DirectTV and a smattering of smaller cable stations around the nation. But Comcast has decided to be a weeweehead (immature dickhead) and not pick up the station. Thankfully some (hopefully most) games will still be broadcast by ABC or some such network. So here I sit with my headphones on, listening to an audio stream of the game through my laptop. I love you Comcast. I really do.
In yet other news... Roxie is the newest member of our family. She's a half boxer, half ridgeback hound. Beautiful dog with a wonderful personality. She's been here for nine days, but by the second day, it felt as if she has always been in the family. Even the cats seemed nonplussed by her, well, all with the exception of little Hobbit who went all scrub brush and didn't calm down for about 24 hours. The puma, of course, took the same stance he took with Remus, "Don't touch me and we won't have any problems." Although without the hissing and fighting that went along with Remus. In fact, he basically just sat on the cat tower and stared at her. All is well. We go for walks and she is completely cool with other dogs. Even when they are aggresive. She'll just hide behind Mom (me) and tuck her tail in. As soon as you pet her and tell her she's okay (and the other dog goes away) she is back to Happy Butt. And boy does she have a happy butt. Her tails wags so hard that her entire body wags with it. In case you hadn't noticed, I'm a proud owner of a very cute puppy.
Pictures of Roxie soon.

The plan is to not do a damn thing other than keeping my eyes glued to the wall and the occasional potty break. I know this is more than three words. I can count. Amazing, yes?
Oh, and I know I've been a sort of ghost in the machine as of late and to that I would apologize... if I felt any remorse.
I'm in total PMS mode. Can you tell?
Battlestar Galatica:
I don't know if is a good thing or a bad thing when I looked at Frank and said "Starbuck is one of the five" and he replied, "What?" since he's the one that sees those things before I do. I don't know for certain... but I do know that it would just be way to easy to make Baltar a cylon. Then again, I've read rumors that it's the prez, and if that's the case... color me shocked.
I guess it's just a wait and see game, huh?
Heroes:
I can't wait till 1) Hiro gets his sword. The real one. and 2) we meet Claire's mom. Well, there's a few more things I want to see... but again, I will just have to wait. Why does Heroes go by so quickly? It's like agony, the hour before the show, waiting for it to come on the tv. Then it's there and it flies by like lightning. This is one of only a very few shows that I want to add to my DVD collection. That says a hell of a lot when the first season isn't even over yet.
MP3 player:
Today I'm cleaning and I have a mix of Smokey Robinson, Three Dog Night, George Michael, Seal, Jack Johnson, Robert Plant and Prince playing. Mostly past hits in the case of Smokey, Three Dog Night, Prince and Plant and mostly new in the case of the others. What is it about good music that lifts you from a funk and gets your spirit moving? If you haven't listened to People Watching by Jack Johnson yet, then what are you waiting for?
How could something that so defined my life a month and a half ago slip my mind? Not that it really slipped out of my mind... but it was close. Up until this weekend I didn't really think about it. Perhaps that is the only way I could have gotten through the last six weeks without going absolutely insane. And why is it that every time I see even a glimmer of this show on tv (in sneak previews, previews and "next week on") I get big huge shivers (accompanied by goose bumps) all over my body?? How does a show get so damn good??? All these questions and more will be answered in a little over twelve hours!!
Since Mother Nature saw fit to grace us with snow (finally) I changed my blog back to the desert. And I'm really trying hard to be patient until the 22nd. It's only 12 more days. I want to know where the sword comes from (the natural history museum?), who really blows up (Radman or Peter?) and when/if we get more female Heroes. Call me impatient and I'll call you right.
What were your top 5 TV shows of 2006?
